Maybe its a coincidence, but we've started getting a new visitor to our garden just after daybreak every morning for the past couple of weeks. Take a look at the picture in the gallery - what a fine chap (btw he's a Great Spotted Woodpecker). He made me reflect on all those early mornings with you strimming & cutting the grass, while Nicole & I were still in bed. It seems one early bird has replaced another. I have called him Sammy.
